Meet the Team
Anastasia Leondis
Anastasia is a Licensed and Board Certified Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience.
As the founder and owner of Boca Behavioral Health, she offers comprehensive services for children, teens, and families, focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, and stress management. Parent support is another area that Anastasia specializes in whether navigating the toddler years, the challenges of teenagers or how to parent adult children, Anastasia is passionate about empowering her clients to recognize their strengths and how to improve their relationships.
By using a variety of modalities including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, Anastasia skillfully tailors the treatment approach to what is most helpful for each of her clients’ needs. In addition to her clinical practice, Anastasia serves as a Qualified Supervisor for students at Florida Atlantic University and for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns.
She is dedicated to her community, volunteering as a Disaster Mental Health First Responder with the American Red Cross and at Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church.
Allison “Alli” Garner
Alli is dedicated to empowering clients to enhance their mental health and navigate life transitions such as divorce, career changes, and grief. She specializes in treating addictions, childhood trauma, and mental health concerns including: depression, anxiety, and ADHD. With extensive experience in inner-child work related to trauma and abuse, Alli provides personalized care using psychodynamic and existential therapies alongside attachment theory. Additionally, she integrates her Level 1 Reiki Certification into her practice.
Alli is currently accepting new clients with Optum/UnitedHealthcare, and self-pay options. Her self pay rate is $185
Tamar Merjian
Tamar holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from FAU (2011). An active member of the Armenian community in Boca Raton and Pennsylvania, Tamar specializes in helping individuals overcome anxiety and build healthier self-relationships.
She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to foster lasting change, focusing on the interconnectedness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to create a balanced and positive mindset. Licensed in both Pennsylvania and Florida, Tamar exclusively offers convenient telehealth therapy from the comfort of your own home or office, with the goal of empowering clients to feel more confident, reduce anxiety, and enhance their relationship with their body and mind.

Dana Sarkela
Dana is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) specializing in mental health and behavioral development for individuals from early childhood through adulthood.
She excels in building strong therapeutic relationships and creating a welcoming environment for children and adolescents to explore their feelings. Passionate about fostering emotional intelligence, Dana utilizes evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) to help clients navigate emotions and behaviors. Her holistic approach ensures personalized support for emotional and behavioral well-being across all age groups.

Carly Buscemi
Carly holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University. She specializes in relational, maternal, and reproductive mental health, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, loss, dating, motherhood, postpartum experiences, stress, communication difficulties, and relationship challenges.
Carly works effectively with both couples and individuals, particularly women aged 20-50. She offers gentle guidance, empathetic listening, and effective coping strategies to help clients manage their thoughts and feelings.
Carly is accepting new telehealth clients with Cigna, Evernorth or Aetna insurance, and her self pay clients. Her self pay rate is $160
Rachel Delaney
Rachel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. She specializes in trauma, personality and mood disorders, psychosis, addictions, eating disorders, PTSD, anxiety, and depression, working with adults, teens, children, and the Orthodox Jewish community. Rachel is trained in EMDR and ART for trauma therapy and utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, as well as mindfulness, grounding, and breathing techniques.
Committed to creating a safe and supportive environment, Rachel empowers clients with tailored, evidence-based strategies to build resilience and achieve positive mental health. She fosters growth through empathy, unconditional positive regard, and effective communication, helping clients develop self-awareness and accountability.

Stephanie Mihalache
Stephanie is a bilingual English-Romanian therapist with a Master of Science in Education (Mental Health Counseling) from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She specializes in treating depression, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, substance use, relationship and family issues, eating disorders, life transitions, and self-esteem, while also providing religious guidance for the Orthodox Christian community.
Stephanie is skilled in individual, couples, and family counseling for clients of all ages, including children. Her therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based interventions, as well as Play-Therapy and Art-Therapy for children. Committed to creating a safe and supportive environment, Stephanie offers encouragement, validation, and empathy to help clients break harmful thought patterns and foster self-awareness and compassion. She accepts Cigna, Aetna, and self-pay clients.

Juliana Leondis
Juliana earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. She is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern pursuing full licensure in the state of Florida.
Juliana provides clinically focused, client-centered care to individuals navigating a wide range of emotional and life challenges. She is skilled in helping clients work through childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions such as relationship changes, academic struggles, career shifts, or identity development.
Grounded in a solution-focused and strengths-based model, Juliana partners with her clients to identify practical, efficient strategies that foster measurable progress and emotional resilience. Her goal is to empower each individual to create meaningful change, rediscover self-worth, and build a life aligned with their values.
Known for her compassionate and nonjudgmental presence, Juliana creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. She welcomes clients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds who are ready to take active steps toward healing and personal growth.

Anna Chagas
Anna earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. She completed her clinical training at Boca Behavioral Health, where she gained experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. Anna will continue her work at Boca Behavioral Health as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and is actively pursuing full licensure in the state of Florida.
Anna works collaboratively with each client to build self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. She is committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Anna welcomes clients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds who are ready to take meaningful steps toward healing and personal growth. Her work is grounded in a strengths-based, solution-focused perspective, helping clients recognize their internal resources while building practical strategies for lasting change. She has experience supporting clients across the lifespan with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, women’s issues, family dynamics, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, and personality disorders.
Anna takes an integrative, eclectic approach to therapy, drawing on Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), allowing her to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs rather than adhering to a single therapeutic model. Anna also has experience working with children and families and takes a holistic, family-inclusive approach to care, helping strengthen relationships and support growth both individually and within the family system.
Fluent in both English and Portuguese, she is proud to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and prioritizes clear, meaningful communication throughout the therapeutic process.

Dr. Paula Lazarim
Dr. Paula Lazarim is a nationally certified counselor educator with over 15 years of experience in clinical mental health, career, international, and intercultural counseling and supervision. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Tennessee and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
Bilingual in Portuguese and English, Dr. Lazarim has lived in the United States for nearly 13 years and brings extensive intercultural-multicultural experience across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Her clinical work integrates evidence-based approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), through a relational-cultural framework with individualized treatment planning tailored to each client’s unique needs. She has extensive experience in counseling settings in both Brazil and the United States, providing counseling services related to mental health, trauma, substance use, domestic violence, intercultural adjustment, and career and life transitions.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Lazarim is actively involved in teaching master’s-level students in a clinical mental health counseling program, as well as in counselor education research and professional leadership. Her scholarship focuses on intercultural competence, counselor preparation, mentorship, online counseling and supervision, and biculturalism in counseling. She currently co-leads the research subcommittee for the National Career Development Association International Student Services Committee and serves as a reviewer for two counseling journals.

Venice Louis
Venice is a Master’s candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Florida Atlantic University and is pursuing licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is currently completing her clinical training at Boca Behavioral Health, where she works with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
Venice believes that mental health is foundational to navigating life’s challenges, building healthy relationships, and pursuing personal growth. She is especially passionate about helping clients develop a stronger sense of self, process life experiences, and build the tools needed for emotional resilience.
She is committed to creating a supportive and intentional space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood, while also feeling empowered to grow and move forward in their lives. Venice is particularly interested in working with adolescents and young adolescents affected by the hardships of childhood trauma and identity issues. She is excited to join the Boca Behavioral Health team and further her growth as a clinician who can better support all clients.
Venice is able to offer reduced fee services for $50/session.
Dr. Antonio Rotondo, Psy.D
Dr. Rotondo attained his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, his master’s degree in clinical psychology at Barry University in Miami, FL, and his doctorate in clinical psychology, with a concentration in neuropsychology, at the Florida School of Professional Psychology in Tampa, FL. He completed his predoctoral training at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center in Long Island, NY, and he completed his postdoctoral training at a neuropsychology independent group practice in West Palm Beach, FL.
He specializes in neuropsychological assessment of individuals of all ages who may experience various cognitive, psychiatric, and neurologic conditions such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, mild cognitive impairment, stroke, addiction, traumatic brain injury, dementia, learning disability, major depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. He is also skilled in the assessment of personality disorders and mental illness complicated by substance misuse.
He has developed a diagnostic clinical approach to individuals with psychological, neurocognitive, and addictive disorders. Dr. Rotondo is currently a member in good standing of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, Society for Clinical Neuropsychology, and Society for Personality Assessment.
