Stephanie Mihalache, MS, Ed, RMHCI

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Stephanie is a bilingual English-Romanian therapist who holds a Masters of Science in Education with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from University of Central Florida. Stephanie has experience working with a variety of mental health concerns such as depression, trauma and PTSD,  anxiety and stress, substance use, relationship and family issues, eating disorders, life transitions, and self-esteem. She also specializes in providing religious guidance for the Orthodox Christian community. 

 

Stephanie is trained in individual, couples, and family counseling and sees clients of all ages including children. Her primary theoretical orientations are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. In addition, she often uses Mindfulness-Based interventions. Stephanie also offers Play-Therapy and Art-Therapy when working with children.

 

Stephanie makes an effort to ensure that her clients feel safe and understood. Her top priority is to support her clients throughout their therapeutic journey by offering encouragement, validation, and empathy. She encourages her clients to recognize and break harmful thought patterns while focusing on self-awareness, compassion, and the dialectic of acceptance and change.

 

In Stephanie’s spare time, she enjoys pilates, cooking new recipes, watching the sunrise at the beach, and spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends.
