Rachel’s primary goal is to assist individuals in navigating their mental health challenges by offering evidence-based treatment modalities, resources, tools and advice tailored to the client’s unique needs. With a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment, she aims to empower individuals with knowledge and strategies to foster resilience and positive mental health.

Rachel obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and received her Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Rachel has worked with and has been trained in a multitude of areas including trauma, personality disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, religious trauma, addictions, eating disorders, codependency, PTSD, anxiety and depression for adults, teens and children. She has specifically worked with the Orthodox Jewish community population.

Rachel is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), both of which are specialized approaches in trauma therapy. EMDR is a widely recognized method that helps individuals process and integrate distressing memories through guided eye movements, aiming to alleviate the emotional charge associated with traumatic experiences. ART, on the other hand, is a relatively newer technique that combines imagery rescripting and relaxation strategies to swiftly resolve traumatic memories and related symptoms.

Both therapies are designed to support individuals in overcoming the impact of trauma, reducing symptoms of PTSD, and fostering emotional resilience.

Rachel’s expertise in these modalities equips her to offer clients a comprehensive and effective approach to healing and recovery. Additionally, Rachel’s primary therapeutic orientations are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, while integrating mindfulness, grounding and breathing techniques.

She is dedicated to the wellbeing and safety of her clients. She encourages her clients to learn, grow and change through unconditional positive regard, empathy and communication by challenging concepts of self through self-acceptance, self-awareness and accountability.
