It’s been 23 years since I experienced my first panic attack and I’m still able to vividly recall the thoughts and feelings that came along with that awful experience.
Over the years, I’ve learned to manage my own anxiety and help others manage theirs. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for over two decades, I have devoted my career to helping others, particularly those whose lives are disrupted by stress, anxiety, excessive fears and worry, along with other stress related issues like phobias, PTSD, panic disorder, and self-esteem issues.
There are many different factors that contribute to the stress that we experience on a daily basis. Helping to distinguish the difference between healthy amounts of stress, and the unhealthy and oftentimes paralyzing stress that limits our ability to enjoy life, is one my goals for this blog.
My hope is that I can help inform and connect with others that are dealing with similar issues, provide resources, support, and to share articles and books that I’ve found helpful.
Please feel free to share your thoughts or ask questions!
Kindly,
Anastasia Leondis, MA, LMHC, NCC
